Mandera’s wasn’t our first choice but after the crazy wind storm knocked out the power to our first choice restaurant, we had to pivot. There were 7 of us for our Christmas dinner celebration on December 19th. A Friday night. Mandera’s took us and made it work. The service was great and the food! It was scrumptious!! Highly recommend this establishment (all the other reviews say the same) It’s a great place, in a strip mall near Dunkin’ Donuts.

This is a very beautiful restaurant!! I love it I sat at table 41 where Anthony Sopranos Crew ate that's when it was called Italianissimo.

Decided on a special last evening; the halibut oreganata. Had a similar halibut only two weeks earlier at a rather exclusive Bergen County restaurant. Objectively Mandara's fish was equal or perhaps a tad better than the double-in-price entree from the four-star establishment. Cudos.

Delicious pear martini made with Grey Goose! The arancini and orecchiette with crumbled Italian sausage and broccoli rabe was tasty as well. The vibe at the bar was fun and the bartender was friendly.

I recently ordered takeout and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. I ordered the Carbonara and added chicken, as well as the Chicken Parmigiana Dinner, and both were delicious beyond expectation. The pasta, in particular, was out of this world. While my initial reaction was to wish the portions were larger, I quickly realized they are the correct size--my 'super size me' conditioning was just kicking in! Beyond the entrées, the pizzas are excellent. I've personally tried both the Meatball slice and the Grandma slice, and they are genuinely delicious, boasting fresh ingredients and perfect crusts. What truly impressed me is that the food arrived delivered and still tasted this amazing. It makes me believe the dishes must be absurdly better when enjoyed fresh in the restaurant! A Note on the Rating: I'm giving it a 4-really a 4.5-out of 5 stars because I can't yet confirm everything is delicious! For instance, I tried the cheese bread, and it was just okay--like a pizza crust without the sauce. Speaking of the restaurant, I've only done takeout, but I've walked past the establishment and it looks lovely inside. The staff has also been consistently friendly and helpful during phone orders. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-tier Italian classics.

This is one of the best restaurants in West Caldwell. They have the best calamari out of all the Italian places. I've never had a bad dish here, everything is amazing and made to perfection...

Spotless, great atmosphere with a nice bar area. Great for a date, not anything like a pizzeria, more upscale. Love the white pizza with broccoli and garlic! Generous portions.
